About BE Wolfe
BE Wolfe grew up in the NW suburbs of Chicago, graduating from Judson University with a BA: Fine Arts. She went on to teach music, art and theatre in schools along with teaching private vocal and acting lessons. Growing up, Betsy always knew she was meant to be a story teller, writing short stories and plays to entertain herself and siblings. She wrote and directed her first play at age 8, her first novel at age 11 and her second play which was performed by a local group at age 14. She likes to think she got distracted by studying music although she never stopped writing and directing. During high school and in her young adulthood she honed the craft of "word-painting" moments in life. She later studied dream analysis which sparked her imagination for a series of dream-related short stories and then her first adult novel. She has always been a voracious reader and writer. Betsy still directs and music-directs theatre productions at various venues while writing for the Marengo-Union Times and creating her works of fiction.
Betsy created the writer's group, Scriven, which serves a local area of northern Illinois writers along with a global community online. Click the link to visit the Scriven Facebook page. BE Wolfe is also associated with Story Studio in Chicago, the AAWG, and Chicago Art Retreats.
BE Wolfe lives in northern Illinois where she raised three sons who each share a love of the arts in writing, visual art, music, and/or theatrical performance.
